Enjoy a truly special moment as you step back in time.

The Ise region is home to two traditional cotton textiles, Matsusaka Momen and Ise Momen.
Matsusaka, located just north of Ise City, has a climate ideal for growing cotton and indigo, making it a hub for cotton weaving. During the Edo period, its indigo-dyed cotton fabric ― known for its distinctive white and blue vertical stripes ー became incredibly popular in Edo (modern-day Tokyo), earning the name Matsusaka Momen or Matsusaka Stripes.

Further north, around Tsu City, Ise Mone is produced. This cotton fabric was once a popular souvenir sold along the historic Ise Kaido route, known for its soft texture and gentle feel. Even today, Ise Momen is cherished for its exceptional quality and lasting comfort.
